Guro Shelley Millspaugh
Guro Shelley has been training in Kombatan Arnis / Modern Arnis since 1992 and has spent extensive time training in the Philippines on several occasions with Grandmaster Ernesto Presas and his son, Ernesto Presas Jr. Guro Shelley moved to the Philippines in 1996 to train at the Kombatan Headquarters in Manila for 6 months. Guro Shelley was originally based out of Wichita, Kansas where he started his school there in 1993. Guro Shelley moved to the Kansas City area in 2001. In 2001, Guro Shelley was granted 'Master Instructor of the Year' by the World Head of Family Sokeship Council in Orlando, Florida. The Kansas City school was started in 2002. With students with well diverse backgrounds, which include Instructors of other Martial Arts, the Kansas City school is a place of high intensity and fun. Individuals of all ranks, styles and experience are welcome at our school, but enrollment is limited. In
2006, Guro Shelley was promoted to Lakan Walo (8th Degree), Senior Master, 2007 is the year that Guro Shelley unveiled his new method of Filipino Martial Arts called Kadena Kruzada. Kadena Kruzada is a method of fighting designed around the attack lines used in most FMA's. Learning a pattern, whether its single stick, double stick, espada y daga or knife, and repeating the pattern in a continuous flow. The student then learns to block and attack out of the pattern. Way Method. 5 Way Method is a logical progression of fighting skills taught
using the concepts and techniques of Filipino, Indonesian and Chinese
arts. Guro Shelley has been training in various Indonesian Martial Arts,
especially Kuntao Silat Dethouars and Maju Bela Diri Pentjak Silat, since
